Differences and Real Examples of Effective and Efficient

A manager who takes care of a management must perform their duties effectively and efficiently. It is very important that each objective can be resolved properly and in a good way anyway. According to the language, effectively means the goal can be resolved properly or the target can be achieved, effectively also more focused on the end result.

While efficient means any job or task can be done in a way that is good, true, and in accordance with established procedures. When compared with the effective, efficient, more focused on the process of undergoing a task rather than the end result of the task.

In the real case examples of effective and efficient, both very important and closely related to one another in the management process. For a manager to choose between effective and efficient depending on the case, circumstances, and conditions that are being faced by a manager.

Case Study: Online Shopping (Effective & Efficient)
In today's technological developments and growing, the development of this technology also allows people to transact, communicate, and find information. A manager in developing a business continue to think about ways that consumers can more easily shop without a 'complicated' line up and go to the mall.

Finally ditemukanlah Online Shopping can be easier for consumers to shop anywhere, anytime, and under any circumstances. It is more effective and efficient than shopping directly by going to the mall.

Why is effective? Because consumers can get the same stuff as that of the store or the mall at a price that is not much difference when shopping directly.
Why efficient? Because consumers can shop without having to come to the mall, even in the presence of an online shop this mall was the one who came to the consumer. This can save time and effort, especially for busy workers who do not have time to shop.

Case Example: Merpati Airlines (Effective)
Merpati Airlines is the airline company Indonesia declining stock. Finally, to save the company from bankruptcy, the government saved this Vendor by providing funds.

It is effective but not efficient, why? Because even if the goal is reached with the target a few years, but the government still spends a very large or input for this pigeon. In contrast to the efficient principle that the true importance of the process by minimizing input and maximizing output.

The government is more concerned with the ultimate goal that the company Pigeons can bounce back and be able to generate income for the government. So it can be said of the government's case Merpati Airlines to think about ways that companies can effectively generate income for the government.

Case Example: Quick Count (Efficient)
One of the 'results' of the development of technology, information, and communication is fast arithmetic techniques or quick count. Quick Count is a method of verifying election results is done by calculating persentation election results at the polling station were sampled.

Unlike the voting behavior survey, a survey of pre-election exit polls or surveys, quick count gives an overview and a higher accuracy, because the quick count counting election results directly from polling the target, not on the perception or recognition of the respondents. In addition, the fast arithmetic can apply probability sampling techniques so that the results are much more accurate and appropriately reflect the population.

The purpose and benefits of the quick count is that the parties concerned have the comparative data that can be used to detect the possibility of fraud occurring in the vote tabulation process. By quick count, the election results can be found quickly on the same day when the election is held.

Much faster than the official results issued by the General Elections Commission, which takes approximately two weeks. In addition to quickly calculate the cost required is much more efficient than doing the whole calculation.

Maybe the quick count time spent could be more economical and efficient as can be seen from the results of the election at the same time and day. However, when seen from the example of a real case count yesterday was fast or quick counts to confuse the reader survey results.

Because some institutions produce different results so the results are less than satisfactory and 'even' confuse the reader survey. So it can be said a quick count is efficient but less effective.
